The Midnight Visions is an Art & Alchemy focused company located in Salem Massachusetts. It is currently a small one person team ran out of owner, Ivy Rosemary Jones home studio space with plans on expansion to a brick and mortar in the future.
Jones is a writer, perfumer and linoleum print artist. Her artwork explores the intersection of traditional Art Nouveau and the bold transformative influence of psychedelic counterculture. Much of her inspiration is drawn from the Gothic, Medieval and Renaissance Revivals of the 1970’s. She filters her work through a black and white lens, using fluid abstract forms and feminine motifs to create Acid Art Nouveau.
Her alchemy aims to reflect the same kaleidoscopic vision. Each perfume is meticulously formulated to echo the hypnotic patterns and themes of her artwork. Jones unexpectedly fell into perfumery while trying to find more creative avenues of story telling. She had never been interested in the commercial perfume industry before but quickly found herself consumed with a passion for photorealistic scents that shaped The Midnight Visions into what it is today.
The name “The Midnight Visions” was chosen to represent those late nights, steeped in artistic obsession bordering on madness. Many artists describe it as receiving a kind of vision that they cannot shake from their minds until it’s been brought from the subconscious into the tangible world.
When you shop with The Midnight Visions you are supporting a queer, woman owned micro business. All perfumes are small batch, vegan and cruelty free; Formulated with a combination of synthetic and natural ingredients in compliance with IFRA standards and guidelines. Every bottle is hand poured, labeled and packed in house.
